This company is a fraud. Keep careful records of every conversation -- who you spoke to, when, and don't accept only first names. Record date, time, and what was discussed. You will need it in court. This company is a class action law suit waiting to happen. Buyer Beware!.

If I could give negative numbers, I would. Shame on you Blue Cross! I don't know how anyone who makes decisions at this company can look themselves in the mirror. I have been lied to both as a plan member, and as a plan administrator. Precision RX, their Specialty Pharmacy, is an absolute disgrace when it comes to patient care. I have been transferred over and over, and ended up back where I started -- when someone hasn't disconnected my call while transferring. TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE. If you have any choice at all, do not use this company for your health insurance needs -- you will end up sick and penniless before they finish with you. They have NO such thing as customer service, compassion, common sense, or conscience. RUN, DON'T WALK, TO THE NEAREST EXIT..

What's the point of a nurse hotline if the nurse won't help you? The problem wasn't life threatening and yet she was completely unhelpful and vague in her suggestions. I pay quite a bit per month for health coverage and expect quality service. If given the choice, I would switch. I'm not happy with the way in which yu have to choose DR's either. Absolutely rediculous!!!!!!!.

I have been covered by BCBS for many years, and it has become clear to me that they systematically engage in fraud by not paying valid claims. They will lie to you on the phone, repeatedly change reasons for denying claims, not allow you to talk to anyone in the claims department, then say that as customer service representatives they don't have access to the information etc. etc. I had a C-section at an "in network" hospital, and they denied the claim for the anesthesia SIX times (that one I finally resolved by filing a complaint with the NC Department of Insurance.) They denied my claim for an office visit with my primary care physician for a broken toe. They routinely deny claims for routine care (immunizations, flu shots, etc.) for my children. The list goes on and on. It disgusts me. If I had any choice at all, I would not be a "member" of BCBS..

Now I can advice you to get your health insured under the long term pharmacy, dental and life coverage of Blue Cross. I felt more convenient being with blue Cross when I noticed for the first time that they are having an excellent support team. I will review them with a true story. I went to the Doctor with bronchitis and while I was there, I told them to go ahead and do the annual PSA test that Blue Cross allows and is supposed to pay for. Blue Cross rejected BOTH by saying that I had bronchitis when I was with Blue Cross in another state and they won't cover it on me anymore. NOT CANCER!! BRONCHITIS!! They rejected the PSA test by saying that I went to the Doctor for bronchitis so getting the PSA test was not my primary reason for going. What kind of morons run that place?.
